Rebuilding Local Food Systems
with the Power of Community
The Westchester Local Food Project aims to connect and collaborate with organizations, schools, and the community at large to help rebuild a new, strong and sustainable local food system in Westchester, NY.
To broaden the reach of existing summer programs at our elementary schools,
To empower educators with agriculture knowledge,
To empower residents to grow food at home,
To create economic opportunity for local farmers and businesses,
To provide healthy locally-grown food to those in need, and
To sustain ourselves economically through our programs.
The Mt. Kisco Chapter will create a town-level experience of health, well-being, and community engagement by delivering an intimate connection with locally-grown food.
