Learn different ways you can preserve the bounty from your garden or the farmer's market to enjoy the harvest year-round.  We will be teaching about freezing, canning, vacuum saving, dehydrating and ideas to creatively use the harvest.

For the final class in the series, we decided to combine our foraging walk and stir fry class. The Foraging class will be gathering foraged foods from around the farm and Chef Suzy Chin will be using them along with farm veggies in a stir fry for all to enjoy.  Participants will take home some fresh veggies and foraged goodies to try at home.

Savoring the Harvest - Indian Cooking Series

Join local chef, cookbook author and blogger at Spice Chronicles for a hands-on class on making two Indian style flatbreads - parathas and theplas.

Take a walk and pick your own seasonal greens and produce, learn how to stuff or knead them into signature Indian flatbreads in two different ways. The class will also talk about how to incorporate healthy spices like cumin and turmeric into everyday cooking. Leave home with enough to try on your own.
